The Ego That Protects Also Imprisons or Limits You !

The Ego That Protects Also Imprisons or Limits You !

Life is full of paradoxical situations !
It is in the nature of this strange situations that I find life mysterious and enigmatically !
Now take today's tittle that I want to share with you .
The ego that protects also imprisons or limits you ?!
Is that true in your experience ?
Lets explore a little and see how it unfolds .
The ego broadly speaking is a shell , a wall , a boundary or border of sorts .
Most people have an identity .
I am this and not that .
I am a male and not a female .
I am a German and not a Chinese .
I am a Christian and not a Muslim .
The identity forms a cover , border or shell around you .
Identity is very important and comforting to almost all people .
Those who are not very clear can go into identity crisis !
As much as it gives you an identity , a form and a clear sense of who or what you are , it also tends to limit you !
Can a male feel like a female or identify as both ? What will be the repercussions ?
One religious person feels very comfortable in the company of another religion , its people , teachings and places of worship . What will others think of him ?
It is good to know that this is who or what I am , yet  it can become limiting .
I go about asking people if they can be this or that and most tend to hold back or limit their potential .
Especially in matters of money .
Our identity has many vital components , such as ideology , belief systems and much more that makes us think we can be this and not that .
How do we get this self limiting ideas or beliefs ?
Yet , if you

look around us , we also have people who have gone beyond all such limits !
They become great , wonderful role models that we all look up to !
Every founder of any new religion was not satisfied with the status quo of the previous religion !
Every person from any back ground being unhappy stepped away or up to a new level .
They may have struggled against all odds and yet , once up , then people look up to them !
So , sometimes ego appears like a double edged sword !
It protects you and yet it can hurt you !
I am just sharing my observations and experiences with you .
What are your experiences ?
Will end now .
Take care .
Amar.
