Almost Every Master was a Disaster in the Beginning !

Today , I want to talk about a Spiritual matter that is important to all of us . I will explain what I am about to say . 

Firstly , if we get disillusioned with our daily living and start to wonder what is this life all about , we are already sowing the seeds for a spiritual quest or search ! As long as we are in our comfort zone , there is no problem . It does not matter if our life and living is that of a rich and royal life or that of an ordinary living where we are just living a hand to mouth existence . It's just a relative illusion at the most ! 

When in a prison , living in third class or first class prison is only to comfort your mind at the most ! You are still a prison !

Once , you become aware that something about life and living does not make sense , then you begin to search for meaning or wondering what is all this drama about .

So , coming to my topic , almost every masters have to start somewhere . Sometimes they are lucky and may have the good fortune of having good guidance very early in life . At other times they  or most of us have to go through the world of hard knocks ! After a long struggle or tortuous life , one slowly starts to see light ! 

The great Buddha in his life too had to go through such a difficult period for a very long time ! 

After many years of searching and struggling he was on the verge of giving up in sheer frustration when the final straw came to break the resistance of the ever tough and stubborn mind ! Only , when he sat quietly under the now famous Bodhi tree that he realised the mystery of Life . Than he became awakened ! Initially , people came and some left ! Some were still in doubt about his teachings . It was a small and slow start , but it kept increasing as a simple stream does , until it becomes a huge mighty Amazon ! 

Just go into the history of any master and you will see the same slow start ! 

Jesus with all his wonderful teachings had to go through a very , very painful and difficult life ! He had to finally give up his life for his truth and realisation ! During his time , even those who were close to him denied him ! Even the 13 close followers were not very sure of his station ! 

Same goes for most of the masters. We all know what happened to Socrates .

Many a Sufi Masters had to accept death as the reward of being enlightened !

I have studied and experienced the outcome of being spiritual or being enlightened in this society !

Moving in the path of spirituality can be challenging from all around ! Family , friends and people in general can make living very challenging .

Some smart masters remind quiet for a long time ! Osho , initially was quiet for a long time ! 

I know , as I was living in Poona ( Pune ) when Osho was becoming famous ! I was studying and having my own spiritual drama on the other side of town ! The last I contacted him was when he was in Oregon , USA . By then he was having a huge following , having a huge ranch and driving 99 Rolls Royce cars. 

Raman Maharishi , as a young boy went into hiding in an underground place to just be still . His physical body took plenty of abuses by the elements . 

In their days , they were even abused and tortured and killed !

After their death , over time we have a strange way of placing them on high pedestals . We start to worship them as Gods and do all sorts of weird dramas in the name of worshiping them !

If I compare you to Buddha , you will feel upset and uncomfortable , feeling that you do not deserve to be any where near that position ! Yet , I tell you , you are as good and as special as they were or are ! They did what they had to do . They sat a path or a guidance , yet , I tell you that you will have to walk and experience what is all the fuss about the state of being enlightened . No amount of just reading , or sitting here or there brings about that magical state that is our true nature !

Today , too we have many Masters in the world ! In fact , we have more Masters now then any time in the history of our civilisation ! 

We are all moving towards Master hood ! We are potentially all Masters in the making !

We have come here to Master our Self ! Self- Mastery is the goal ! I simply want to be a Master of myself ! You have to be a Master of yourself ! 

What is the need to be your follow or my follower !! Yes, we need guidance . That we can get plenty today !
