Why Do We Have Problems In Life ?

Across the planet , all humans want the same sense of happiness and peace !

Yet , most are unable to have that !

Both happiness and peace are not things that you can get directly !

They are by products or results of something else !

Healthy , wealthy and wise !

Food , clothing and shelter !

The basics remain about the same for all of us !

As simple and basic life appears , that is where it all ends !

That is where it becomes really complex and complicated !

Our desires , demands and expectations are mind boggling !

Our clever mind has created an amazingly complex and complicated world out there !

At the extreme end of need when really hungry , we just need any food to satisfy our hunger .

On the other hand , when that is not an issue , the same food becomes something else !

It is now about the taste !

The taste has taken our simple need for food to altogether something else !

The desire for taste has created a vast industry for food !

Gourmet foods , international cuisines , rare dishes , fine wines , world class cooks or chefs command a great following !

A meal in some of the finest gourmet outlets can cost unbelievable amount ! Fine wines can go into thousands of dollars !

I saw a whisky bottle that was costing $ 50,000.00 ( Singapore dollars )

The lady informed me that a guy from China bought 2 bottles of that expensive whisky !

I always wonder what does that mean ?!

There are fine dinning sets that can cost thousands of dollars .

So , obviously , some people are finding satisfaction or happiness in such expensive stuff !!

There are people who have achieved the rare distinction of becoming Billionaires on this planet !

Go and watch these people and see if they are glowing with happiness and peace !!

Do they appear blissful and saintly and most loving , kind or whatever ?!!

We always talk of Mother Theresa as a kind , joyful and peaceful person .

Was she a very rich person ?! 

She gave all that she had to the very , very poor people around !

We honour her ! Why ?

I have visited holy retreats called Ashrams in India . People flock there in thousands to seek happiness and peace ! While they are they they do appear happy and peaceful !

Yet , back to their real world , they are back to their misery !

I see expensive branded goods which are mind blowing expensive ! 

Do they bring happiness or peace ?!

People chasing and struggling the whole life to achieve a certain position !

Does that bring that illusive happiness or peace ?!

Then again , people travel all around the world seeking , spending and coming home tired !

So , we run around all over the world seeking that illusive happiness and peace , yet , it is always right here , Within You !!

We have problems in life and we all go out wards looking when the solution is always within yourself!

" I Want Happiness ! " Wise Sages , Buddhas will tell you to drop the I , as it is your ego ! then simply drop the the want as that is desire . then you are left with happiness !!

It is simple yet made complicated by our minds !
